मङ गलब र, २०७४-च त-१३. Pharping Hydropower Project is the first power project of Nepal and second of Asia having installed capacity of 500 kW. It was established in 1911. Kali Gandaki A Hydroelectric Project is a peaking run of river type of project and currently is the largest power plant of any kind in Nepal capable of generating 144 MW of electricity. Construction of the project was started in 1997 and was completed in 2002.
